West Midlands Fire Service

Before transitioning to working entirely online, The Future Melting Pot had its offices based at West Midlands Fire Service headquarters in Birmingham. During this time we worked closely with the Fire Service on numerous projects, from the #HaltHeartache campaign that aimed to reduce the number of young people killed on our roads, to our targeted Road Traffic Collision research. We also worked with the Fire Service to provide young people with various apprenticeship and work-experience opportunities, allowing us to develop our aim of helping young people access employment and training.

Our work with the West Midlands Fire Service enabled them to engage with vulnerable young people and families from diverse communities, something which we continually aim to help other employers and organisations achieve. Through our partnership, the Fire Service were able to offer a variety of free training in subjects like first aid and fire safety, ultimately helping to ‘improve lives to save lives’ in low socio-economic areas.

Please visit the West Midlands Fire Service website for more information about the essential prevention work they do to keep our community safe.
